T O P I C R E V I E WcharlieYou know when dogs, and probably other species as well, instinctively know who's "the man" just by looking at the opponent or taking a quick air-whiff? They will either try to fight "the man" or they'll walk away with tail between their legs. Who's "the man" among humans? Aspects? By "the man" I most definitely do not mean arrogance/narcissism/muscle mass or anything within that category! "The Man" can be the most shy and private human you've ever come across. sorensounds like you might be describing aries. but when you think of aries you are thinking of people who have their sun in the equator/ecliptic set of signs. in the election thread i was showing pictures of people who for example had sun in capricorn, yet their sun was (theoretically might have 4 zodiacs) in leo for 3 of the major zodiacs. if you were to look at any of them and think, Scorpio? (there was a scorpio) you would think hm.. i can see the emotionality. but when you look at 3 different signs which all were in leo for 3 sets, you could start to see they were all very alike. so thats why when you think, scorpio, you are seeing a little bit of scorpio, but you might be seeing a lot of another sign. so when i say aries, you might think of a few aries that actually have their sun in 3 sets of pisces. i can show you a few pictures of full arians, i will edit those insoren hahah now that i see them, aries in 4 sets, they don't look that dominating after all. kind of reserved. oops sorry i speak about these 4 sets but hm well its too stressful, just ignore my theories about them, unless they seem accurate but i kind of think equal and placidus (sundaypath+horizon) both exist simultaneously, and if that is true, then there is not much saying that the other ones dont exist StubbornVirgoIn terms of just sniffing out a dominating presence, I would think that Mars/ASC, Pluto/ASC and Saturn/ASC aspects would play a role. Even if the initial "sniff" turns out to be a cover, I would think that it would give that first impression.I don't consider myself a very dominating person or to have a dominating personality, but people often assume that I know what I'm doing and that I'm in charge when they first meet me. I have Pluto/ASC square. I also have Moon conjunct Mars, Mercury square Mars, and Venus square Mars. It works the other way, too. I've encountered people who wanted to "challenge" me immediately after meeting me. Which always amuses me...if they only knew how many times I doubted myself throughout the day, they would probably feel silly for seeing me as a threat. No one is intimidated by shy men If you mean "alpha" type look to the masculine planets Sun and Mars. First eliminate Libra and Aquarian Suns then Libra, Cancer and Taurus mars. These signs are "weak" (I prefer "passive") positions for sun and mars. I've seen them in action and it's difficult for them to take action if they feel overwhelmed with opposition. I'd look for Sun in Leo or Aries and Mars in Aries, Scorpio or Capricorn. Ideally Sun and Mars are not getting bad aspects from Saturn, Neptune or Pluto. charlie quote:Originally posted by cottonball:I think you mean reserved not shy. Mars and Pluto are potential indicators for radiating power, either in the first house, affecting the Ascendant and MC, or in the 10th house. I wouldn't be so quick to highlight Sun aspects though, unless the Sun is in a position where it is exposed such as on the Ascendant or MC, since it is more likely to be masked by the Ascendant. ------------------Scorpio AscendantAquarius Sun in 4thGemini Moon in 8thCheck out my blog ya'll: www.electrodgxtalks.wordpress.comDopGangEdit: rethinkingleo_moonSun conjunct Pluto, Asc conjunct Pluto. So you mean, they radiate and invite aggression?
Some would say the higher power is having the effect of defusing aggression.
Perhaps some people have both abilities, plus the discernment to know when to use each one.
